Asfaque Ansari is a driver whom we found in angry mood every day. When Aakar officer told him to attend morning meeting, he directly answered that he don’t want to waste his time. He also de-motivated others for not attending morning meetings. During road safety week celebration, we needed some help to arranged game programme for drivers and helpers. He scolded us and left that place.
After this incident we planned to meet him. One day we meet him at coal road and counseled him that “We know you have no interest in attending morning meeting and other programs but we observe you that you are driving very well, so we want to appreciate you in morning meeting.” He was agreed with this proposal and attended the morning meeting. In front of all driver and helper we appreciated him and told to audience that Asfaque is a good driver. If any time he conducts any mistakes please inform us. After that day we found he was using seat belt during driving also.
One day we conducted home visit to his home and shared his good work with his family members. While returning he was sharing with us that “You are always appreciating me but I am not eligible for that. One day I have scolded you and I am feeling sorry for that”. We really welcomed his transformation and now he participates in morning meeting and use seat belt during driving.
